INTERESTING CONVERSATION that really questions HOW STRONG is our FAITH!

An Atheist Professor of Philosophy speaks to his Class on the Problem Science has with GOD, The ALMIGHTY. He asks one of his New Christian Students to stand and . . .

Professor : You are a Christian, aren't you, son ?
Student : Yes, sir.
Professor : So you Believe in GOD ?
Student : Absolutely, sir.
Professor : Is GOD Good ?
Student : Sure.
Professor : Is GOD ALL - POWERFUL ?
Student : Yes.
Professor : My Brother died of Cancer even though he Prayed to GOD to Heal him.
Most of us would attempt to Help Others who are ill.
But GOD didn't. How is this GOD Good then ? Hmm ?

( Student is silent )

Professor : You can't answer, can you ? Let's start again, Young Fella. Is GOD Good ?
Student : Yes.
Professor : Is Satan good ?
Student : No.
Professor : Where does Satan come from ?
Student : From . . . GOD . . .
Professor : That's right. Tell me son, is there evil in this World ?
Student : Yes.
Professor : Evil is everywhere, isn't it ? And GOD did make Everything. Correct ?
Student : Yes.
Professor : So who created evil ?

( Student does not answer )

Professor : Is there Sickness ? Immorality ? Hatred ? Ugliness ?
All these terrible things exist in the World, don't they ?
Student : Yes, sir.
Professor : So, who Created them ?

( Student has no answer )

Professor : Science says you have 5 Senses you use to Identify and Observe the
World around you. Tell me, son . . . Have you ever Seen GOD ?
Student : No, sir.
Professor : Tell us if you have ever Heard your GOD ?
Student : No , sir.
Professor : Have you ever Felt your GOD, Tasted your GOD, Smelt your GOD ?
Have you ever had any Sensory Perception of GOD for that matter ?
Student : No, sir. I'm afraid I haven't.
Professor : Yet you still Believe in HIM ?
Student : Yes.
Professor : According to Empirical, Testable, Demonstrable Protocol, Science says
your GOD doesn't exist. What do you say to that, son ?
Student : Nothing. I only have my Faith.
Professor : Yes. Faith. And that is the Problem Science has.
Student : Professor, is there such a thing as Heat ?
Professor : Yes.
Student : And is there such a thing as Cold ?
Professor : Yes.
Student : No sir. There isn't.

( The Lecture Theatre becomes very quiet with this turn of events )

Student : Sir, you can have Lots of Heat, even More Heat, Superheat, Mega Heat, White Heat, a Little Heat or No Heat. But we don't have anything called Cold. We can hit 458
Degrees below Zero which is No Heat, but we can't go any further after that. There is no such thing as Cold. Cold is only a Word we use to describe the Absence of
Heat. We cannot Measure Cold. Heat is Energy. Cold is Not the Opposite of Heat, sir,
just the Absence of it.

( There is Pin - Drop Silence in the Lecture Theatre )

Student : What about Darkness,
Professor : Is there such a thing as Darkness ?
Professor : Yes. What is Night if there isn't Darkness ?
Student : You're wrong again, sir. Darkness is the Absence of Something. You can have Low
Light, Normal Light , Bright Light, Flashing Light . . . But if you have No Light
Constantly, you have Nothing and it's called Darkness, isn't it ? In reality, Darkness
isn't. If it is, were you would be able to make Darkness Darker, wouldn't you ?Professor : So what is the point you are making, Young Man ?
Student : Sir, my point is your Philosophical Premise is Flawed.
Professor : Flawed ? Can you explain how ?
Student : Sir, you are working on the Premise of Duality. You argue there is Life and then
there is Death, a Good GOD and a Bad GOD. You are viewing the Concept of GOD as
something finite, something we can measure. Sir, Science can't even explain a
Thought. It uses Electricity and Magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully
understood either one. To view Death as the Opposite of Life is to be ignorant of the
fact that Death cannot exist as a Substantive Thing. Death is Not the Opposite of
Life : just the Absence of it. Now tell me, Professor, do you Teach your Students that
they Evolved from a Monkey ?
Professor : If you are referring to the Natural Evolutionary Process, yes, of course, I do.
Student : Have you ever observed Evolution with your own eyes, sir ?

( The Professor shakes his head with a Smile, beginning to realize where the Argument is going )

Student : Since no one has ever observed the Process of Evolution at work and
cannot even prove that this Process is an On - Going Endeavor, are you not Teaching
your Opinion, sir ? Are you not a Scientist but a Preacher ?

( The Class is in Uproar )

Student : Is there anyone in the Class who has ever Seen the Professor's Brain ?

( The Class breaks out into Laughter )

Student : Is there anyone here who has ever Heard the Professor's Brain, Felt it, Touched or
Smelt it ? . . . No one appears to have done so. So, according to the Established Rules
of Empirical, Stable, Demonstrable Protocol, Science says that you have No Brain, sir. With all due respect, sir, how do we then Trust your Lectures, sir ?

( The Room is Silent. The Professor stares at the Student, his face unfathomable )

Professor : I guess you'll have to take them on Faith, son.
Student : That is it sir . . . the Link between Man & GOD is FAITH. That is all that Keeps
Things Moving & Alive.

should i ask???? -just ask-

just came back from 关爱晚宴，which i attended with my mummy and granny!!!

when the organisers announced the date of the dinner, i had a struggle... should i ask my mummy? would she agree? will she feel "out", "stress", "wierd'??? will she be angry??? the worries i had were countless... 

back in 3years ago when i heard of 孝亲聚餐，i thought it's an occasion for all the children to treat their christian parents to a meal, den i realised it's a evangelical event to expose their parents to the Light of God in a homely diner and thought i'll be good if my mum could come! but reli ah. worried that she dun like and worries about alot o stuffs....

this year's a little different for me.... personally i really see His wonders every single day and He proved that we must act by Faith, not by emotions! like the mission trip, it's 9days in sarawak and when i heard of it, it seemed impossible for a NSF like me to go... but something told me just buy the ticket, God can make me go somehow, and that something was the Faith that burned in me..... i booked the tickets, and the money (cpf bonus) and leave (help by instructor to apply a consecutive 7days leave) all followed!!!! no hiccups at all! see! when we act by Faith, He'll see to the others, in his perfect plan!

so eventually i booked 3tickets for the dinner not knowing if anyone would come.... and i asked my parents about the dinner..... as expected their response was ok only.. so i just prayed for their willingness to come..AND! the next day my sis told me that my mum's gonna come with my GRANDMOTHER! (who's a extremely devoted buddhist)... wa. really gave me a shock by how well He planned this dinner...

today's the dinner and it really proved that my worried are unnecessary!!! they were open to the worship and i saw my granny clapping with smiles in her face! and she even asked me IF THE CD CONTAINED THE SONGS! she liked it! wa............ my mum was ok with the entire evening too! infact, i think they enjoyed themselves!

this evening was an evening to open their heart to how a christian function is like, and how worship, prayers are carried out and i really really Thank Him cos their reactions r all good! unexpectedly GOOD! my mum said that she will want to attend the next dinner next year!

 i guess this little pockets of events are our chances of bringing ANYONE to him... to open their hearts. maybe not to "Love God immediately", but maybe just to "not hate/think that christianity is OK".....

yea. another step! THANK U LORD!

Meaningful Day / Session on 1st May.

I was asked to share about the experience , etc, that I receive / have during the 2 talks on Labour Day.
But frankly speaking I do not know what to share.

1^st : Where did we get the Bible from.?

Interesting topic isn’t it?
Don’t you ever wonder who did the compilation?
How was it done?
Originated from?

Haha. I seriously gained a lot of knowledge from the talk. How the Bible from Hebrew Language eventually became other language and what happened during the process of compiling and translating the Bible.

2^nd : Human Law, Divine Justice and Your Destiny / Role in the Eternal Scheme of Things

Basically the lady, a lawyer, talked about how human law came about, and how is it link to Divine law.

We can tell of the character of the Law-giver by looking at the law. Therefore looked at the Law that God set, you will know what kind of God he is. =D

God is a God of Justice. Take a look at, Isaiah 5:16, Isaiah 5:23-24 & Psalm 97:2.

The lady talks about how/what will S.A.T.A.N do to us. And for us to know, all that the devil does is only 4 thing.
1. Tell us our life is in our own control = Freedom
2. Lie to us
3. Tempt us to sin/repeat sin, by telling us we’re of equal to God.
4. At our lowest point, he will attack us, as to further drag us away from God.
So peeps, let’s keep in mind that s.a.t.a.n will and should die/be destroy. =D

I too learn about going / entering the Paradise/Heaven is very hard.
WHY??
We came to earth being chosen, not because it does rightfully belong to us. We came to earth to chosen and to do God’s work,
Therefore,

1^st Judgement : Relationship with God. Do we have that, as in accepting Christ as our Lord and saviour = access = God’s Mercy. John 14:6
(in the past God talked about subsidiary death, sacrificing a lamb for our sin. But in Modern times, we do not need to. WHY? Because our Christ, JESUS die/sacrifice for us. =D)

2^nd judgement : Rev 20. (this chapter is worth reading.) 20:11 – 15, tells that the book were open, God will judge us according to what we’ve done INDIVIDUALLY. God is Fair.

Then names who are not found will be thrown into the lake of fire. (so guy let us save more people into the Kingdom of Lord.)

She talks about 3 type of Christian but I forget liao. Haha. Only remember about the Centurion.

Centurion : Honest, integrity, brave & courageous. A warrior for God.
(A question : would you be as brave and courageous as the centurion? and proclaim and share about God to whoever you know that is a non-Christian?)

Wish i be there !

Gosh.......wish i be there !

It been almost a month since the last gathering with Glowing, because i am away from S'pore and spend my holiday in Hk. I do wish to spend my holiday in S'pore as i been irregular in my attendance to the fellowship and church(which i am guilty of !), also to prepare of my National Service , but my parents do want me to visit my relatives and spend time with them. So i went ahead !

Went out with some Glower for the first week, shop ard, eat local delicacy. Everything i need to do, i had it done by the second week. I attend a church in HK too, every sunday from 10am to 12pm at North Point with my parents , many friendly pples there......almost everyone, just like QBC ! But i still feel.........weird ? Finally......i know, it's you guys.......Glowing !

If i miss 1 or 2 gathering is all right since my absence does not make a BIG diffence and i am bound to see you guys soon or later and i can catch up with u guys in no time , but sadly the soon/later become to frequent and finally a habit ! Sorry guys !

Habit is hard to quit, but not impossible !

Not that no one to go out with after church......
Not for the fun & joy fellowship outing.......
Not that i need pple to talk to........
Not because i have no activites......

Is the Glowing-spirits, i can't sense it now. Right here in Hk !

I need everyone to close your eyes and imagine that u are in QBC and u see everyone, but except brothers and sisters from Glowing ! Although u will see pples that u knew in church, i dare to say it's weird !

knew this from someone, 不要懂得可惜,才学会珍惜 !

Now Now Now~ how i wish i have the "Shadow Clone Technique" from the anime "Naruto". So i can be there with u all ! Haha......still so naive !

many VS a few

Happy belated birthday to me!!! =) In case you don't know what did you all pay for my BD present, please look at what i am carrying on my hands lately. Muahaha~ alright..

Today a few of us gathered at NYNY to celebrate me and twinkle's birthdays. I was so so sad that only a few turn up. =( JOKING!!! hahaha.. In fact, i was quite happy!

When I was 7, all I wanted was presents and MORE presents.
When i was 14, all I wanted was to celebrate with my besties n who cares abt my family?
When i was 18, all I wanted was to watch M18. HAHA..
When i was 21, all I wanted was MORE pple to celebrate for me, to experience that kinda "popular feeling". And of coz, expensive presents, to prove that I am a fren worth pple paying more money for. hahaha...
when i was 22, all i wanted was to treat my mum a meal. To let her know silently that i appreciate her everything. (just a meal to exchange all her work , HAHA.. so cheapo of me)
when i was 23, all i wanted was to see frens ard me loving God more. =) Ya, to Love and serve Him whole-heartedly...


People asked me if i am sad that only a few celebrated with me and twinkle. In fact, i was not even a bit unhappy. I was glad. Glad that glowers are serving God, that sing Shen pple are practising for their mission trip, glad that pple going for Global Prayer day to help out. It means alot more to me, to see pple serving God actively than sitting down and laugh abt some stupid jokes. (not that jokes r not good, but serving is the priority.)

Sitting down for a casual lunch and dinner (thurs and today) was such joy. I get to talk to everyone. No need to scream and shout across the tables like what we did in the past. HAHA... And no need to worry your will make me a fool in public. =P kidding. ya, main thing is.. i get to catch up with alot of ur. (the latest trend is.... XW loves to touch Zhi Feng's breasts) hahaha...

yup.. Thank you Lord for this wonderful time i had with Glowing. I really thankful to see all of ur grow so much, serving actively in all areas: sunday sch, ushers, choir, pianist..... it's one of the best presents!! Keep it up!! (but of coz.. next year ur still must buy presents for me, after all, i am greedy. HAHA!)
